This month, Square One brings you an awesome night of Hip Hop and Reggae sounds from the Dub Cartel Soundsystem featuring Dan Donovan as Operator and the legendary Don Letts as Selector.

Letts, who's also known as the 'Rebel Dread' was an integral player in the original British punk scene. He sold clothing at punk boutiques Acme Attractions and Boy, introduced reggae to punk audiences as DJ at The Roxy club, managed The Slits and played music with former Clash member Mick Jones in Big Audio Dynamite.

And the credits continue. He directed music videos for everyone from Jimmy Cliff to S'Express, and made documentaries on Bob Marley, Lee "Scratch" Perry, and The Clash.

Also playing on the night is JSTAR, whose Hip Hop/Reggae mash-ups have been causing quite a stir recently. These strictly limited 7"s are like gold-dust and havebecome stuff of legend - especially his heavy Reggae version of Blackstreet's 'No Diggity'.

He'll be joined by MC Honey Brown who is MC for Mark B, of Mark B & Blade fame. Local legend DJ Derek will also be in attendance - spinning his trademark Ska and Reggae set. Pete B (of Bath's Stonegrove Social) will be getting the party started downstairs with his fine scratching skills, whilst Bristol party stalwarts the Leisure Allstars will be in charge of proceedings on the top deck.
